1. What is sealcoating?
Asphalt is primarily rock and gravel held together using a binding agent such as tar. Weather and other environmental exposure (U.V. rays, oils, chemicals, etc.) degrade the tar and cause the asphalt to crack. Sealcoating adds a layer of protection to your asphalt which greatly slows the degradation effect that occurs as a result of chemicals, water, oil, and U.V. damage.

3. How long does an application usually take?
It varies by job, but most applications can be completed in 1-3 hours. Vehicles need to stay off of the pavement for 36 hours.
4. Do I need to be present during application?
No, you do not need to be present. Upon completion, we barricade the driveway off and will contact you once the application process has been completed.
5. How long does it take sealcoating to dry?
Upon completion, your sealer takes only a few hours to dry but varies depending on sunlight, wind, and the time of year. However, your asphalt should not be walked on for 24-36hrs.
6. How long until I can use my driveway again?
We typically recommend waiting 24 - 36 hours before walking or driving on your freshly sealed pavement.
7. How often should you seal your parking lot or driveway?
On average, asphalt should be sealed every other year. Factors such as traffic and weather can shorten or lengthen the time between seal coatings. Give us a call and we can evaluate your asphalt for free!
8. Are you licensed and fully insured?
Yes. We are fully licensed and insured and can send you our certificate upon request.
9. What are my responsibilities prior to application?
All vehicles or obstructions should be removed from the asphalt 1-2 hours prior to our scheduled time of arrival. You should also consider moving any vehicles or items from your garage if they are needed before you can use your driveway again.
